With a Master’s degree in Business Engineering (Wirtschaftsingenieur) from the esteemed Technical University of Berlin, my academic focus was on Machines, Production, and Return on Investment.

After completing my degree in 2009, during a challenging job market, I embarked on a global journey before settling professionally in Perth in 2011. There, I started as a Production Engineer and advanced to Engineering Manager within the Window Industry.

In 2016, I founded Brigmann as a sole trader working from a friend’s living room. Since then, the company has grown steadily, and we now operate from a dedicated office and workshop in Fremantle.

I am also a Chartered Engineer, accredited in Mechanical Engineering, Leadership, and Management, and currently pursuing an International Welding Engineering (IWE) qualification—demonstrating my commitment to continuous professional development.

Over the years, I have led several impactful projects, including the implementation of preventive maintenance and lean manufacturing methodologies. One notable lean manufacturing initiative delivered a remarkable 95% increase in productivity. This success was driven by simple, effective actions: listening to shop floor staff, eliminating the “7 Wastes,” and optimizing plant layouts.

 

This experience revealed the untapped potential within Perth and Western Australia’s manufacturing sector. Today, my mission is to empower local companies to unlock their productivity, strengthen local manufacturing capabilities, and reduce reliance on imports.
